Meet Jerome Davis Jr., LMSW

Founder of HealingCore Therapy
Supervised by [Supervisor Name], LCSW-S

I’m a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and U.S. military veteran dedicated to helping people heal at the core—not just cope on the surface. I work with teens, adults, and couples who are navigating trauma, anxiety, relationship challenges, identity shifts, and high levels of stress in their daily lives. Many of my clients are people who feel like they have to “hold everything together” for everyone else, even when they’re overwhelmed inside. Therapy with me is a place where you don’t have to be the strong one all the time.

My style is warm, direct, and collaborative. I don’t just nod and ask, “How does that make you feel?” We slow things down, make sense of your patterns, and work toward clear goals. You’ll get honest feedback, practical tools, and deeper insight into why you feel and respond the way you do. My goal is for you to leave sessions feeling understood, grounded, and increasingly in control of your life and relationships.

Clinically, I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills, Motivational Interviewing, and Gottman Method Couples Therapy (Level 1 & 2 training). I am also pursuing advanced training in EMDR for trauma and PTSD, as well as ongoing work in trauma-informed and attachment-focused care. This allows me to tailor treatment to your specific needs—whether we’re working on panic attacks, deep-rooted trauma, emotional regulation, or restoring trust and communication in your relationship.

As a veteran, I understand high-pressure environments, hypervigilance, and what it feels like to push through pain without ever really talking about it. That experience informs the way I work with clients who are high-achieving, high-functioning, and often exhausted—professionals, parents, students, first-generation success stories, and those who feel “on” all the time. I bring the same discipline and respect I learned in service into the therapy room: you’ll be met with honesty, respect, and consistency.

At HealingCore Therapy, I welcome clients from all backgrounds, identities, and cultures. I have a strong commitment to culturally responsive care and an understanding of how race, gender, family history, and social context shape mental health. Whether you’re coming in alone or with a partner, my aim is to create a space where you can finally exhale—a secure, non-judgmental environment where it’s safe to tell the truth, face what hurts, and build something healthier in its place.

If you’re ready to do the work—at your pace, with real support—I’m here to walk that path with you.
